Our Story
Araayeh was born from a simple belief — that clothing should carry meaning, memory, and soul. In a world of fast fashion, we chose to slow down, to return to the roots of making with our hands. Every thread we weave, every fabric we drape, begins not with trends but with stories.
My journey as the founder is inseparable from the elegance and versatility of my mother’s wardrobe — a world of rich textiles and culture that shaped me. Growing up as a Marwari girl born in Kolkata and settled in Gujarat, I was surrounded by a beautiful mix of traditions, textiles, and cultures. Her wardrobe was a world in itself — jamdanis from Bengal, mothras from Rajasthan, gharcholas of Gujarat — each drape carrying with it history, memory and identity. That blend of rich textiles shaped my earliest understanding of beauty, and it is this fascination that I carry forward through Araayeh.

Our Philosophy
The word Araayeh means “to make someone or something look more beautiful.” For us, beauty is not just in appearance — it lies in the quiet strength of a fabric woven on a loom, in the patience of an artisan’s craft, and in the way a garment connects one life to another.
At Araayeh, we are guided by three principles:
- Craftsmanship with integrity — beginning at the yarn, ensuring every piece carries the warmth of human hands.
- Design with timelessness — creating clothes that transcend seasons and resonate with women across generations.
- Sustainability with purpose — supporting local artisans, preserving handloom traditions, and crafting pieces meant to last.

The Craft
Araayeh is built with the hands of artisans, tailors, and hand-workers who keep age-old skills alive while infusing them with fresh, modern expression. Behind every garment is a team whose unseen efforts make each piece truly unique.
Our process doesn’t end with garments — we extend our creativity to the smallest details. Leftover fabrics are transformed into textile jewellery, turning remnants into adornments that add beauty to the outfit itself. In many ways, this justifies our name Araayeh — to make something or someone look more beautiful, even in the tiniest finishing touch.

Our Vision
Every collection emerges from a story — sometimes of a woman, sometimes of a place, sometimes of a fleeting photograph — but always rooted in something real. These stories shape not just the way we design, but the way we dream.
Araayeh is not just clothing. It is memory woven into fabric, tradition meeting innovation, and beauty made to be lived in.

Founder’s Note
When I think of Araayeh, I think of my mother’s wardrobe — a world where jamdanis from Bengal, mothras from Rajasthan, and gharcholas of Gujarat lived side by side. Those fabrics carried more than beauty; they carried memory, culture, and identity.
Araayeh is my way of keeping that spirit alive - by weaving stories into fabric, supporting the hands that craft them, and creating garments that feel timeless. It is also a promise: that beauty can be sustainable, thoughtful, and deeply personal.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Each time you wear Araayeh, you carry a piece of our story — and make it your own.
